Pedestrian Injured by Vehicle This Weekend

The Columbia Police Department’s (CPD) Traffic Safety Unit (TSU)  is investigating the circumstances surrounding a weekend pedestrian collision.

Officers were dispatched to the Harden and Devine Streets intersection shortly before 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2024.

The 40-year-old male pedestrian was taken to a local hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition.

Preliminary information indicates that the 22-year-old male driver was traveling southbound on Harden Street, crossing over Devine Street, while the pedestrian was walking westbound on Harden Street.

CPD is processing the vehicle involved in the collision.  TSU officers are working on promising leads in the case and continue to review surveillance video.

CPD will provide updates as more information becomes available.
