The mission of the Assisting Columbia’s Elderly (A.C.E.) is to serve as an advocate for the senior citizen population. To plan, research, monitor and coordinate direct and indirect services and activities in order to promote lifelong dignity and independence.
Frequent Call Check: This free service is designated to provide regular phone calls to Senior Citizens who live alone.
Wandering Adult Service: This free service identifies any potential adult wanderer, in order to assist in locating and returning them safely to their home.
Crime Prevention Tips: This free service is designated to ensure that senior citizens’ homes are safe and secure. The Crime Prevention Team will conduct home security checks.
Fan the Heat: A free program implemented by the CPD in 1995 to provide fans and/or air conditioning units to eligible seniors and other citizens during the spring and summer months.
