POLICE OFFICER SELECTION TEST 

The Police Officer Selection Test (POST) is a standardized reading test that measures the reading ability of high school and college students in vocabulary and comprehension.

Part 1: Vocabulary – This portion of the test is made up of 80-100 multiple-choice items.

Part 2: Comprehension – Applicants are required to read 5-8 passages and to respond to 36-38 multiple-choice questions based on the content of those passages.

 

JRPAT TEST

The Columbia Police Department Physical Ability Test event is performed on a pass/fail basis. Applicants must complete the course in two minutes and six seconds (2:06) or less and all of the obstacles to pass.

No more than three attempts will be allowed to negotiate any one obstacle. If applicants are not able to negotiate an obstacle after three attempts or complete the course in two minutes and six seconds (2:06) or less it is a failure.

 

The Recruiter will contact applicants for testing once all paperwork is received.
