Investigator Robert “Mitch” Henry has served with the Columbia Police Department since 2013. His law enforcement career began with Henry working as a patrol officer in South Region. He was assigned to the Community Response Team and primarily worked in the Five Points area.

In 2017, Henry was promoted to Investigator and is currently assigned to the Criminal Investigation Bureau in the Violent Crimes Against Persons Unit. Investigator Henry has a bachelors in Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina and was awarded the JP Strom Award from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy. A native of Columbia, Henry enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking, and spending time with his three cats.

Investigator Henry is an avid supporter of LGBTQ+ rights and believes that everyone deserves to live without fear of themselves.

Linda D. Myers is a native of Queens, New York, and has been married for 40 years to her high school sweetheart – LTC (Ret.) Chester J. Myers, Jr. After traveling the world as an Army wife, living in Germany, Kansas, and Texas, they chose to make Columbia, SC, their permanent home.

Linda and Chester are the proud parents of three children, Robert, a graphic artist and member of the Air Force, Christina, a journalist and doctoral candidate, and David, a Civil Engineer who has blessed her with a daughter-in-law, Kristian, and made her the proud Grammy of 5-year-old grandson David, II, or as she affectionately calls him, “Button.”

Linda has been working with members of law enforcement for over 15 years, first serving as an administrative staff member with the South Carolina criminal justice Academy, where she assisted in the agency’s accreditation, before joining the Columbia Police Department in December 2019 as a Program Coordinator for accreditation and Personnel Services.

When Linda is not spending time with her family, she enjoys cooking, reading, needlepoint, and volunteering in the community. Linda also had the pleasure of gracing the stages of several theatres across the midlands and is an active member of Brookland Baptist Church. Her favorite scripture is Psalm 34 and she lives by the motto, “We are blessed to be a blessing.”
