Crimestoppers: Non-Fatal Gervais Street Investigation (March 29, 2026)

Columbia Police Department (CPD) officers are working leads in an overnight shooting that happened at a business in the Vista Entertainment District.

Shortly before 1:30 a.m. (March 29), officers were dispatched to 902 Gervais Street, Jay’s Bar and Grill for a reported shooting.

As a result, a female and male suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary information indicates that a physical fight happened inside of the business, followed by shots being fired. Officers collected evidence from the scene, interviewed witnesses and assisted with crowd control.

Patrol officers and investigators will canvass the area throughout the day for additional video footage and potential evidence.
