Carlos Jovany Hernandez
Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook announces that Carlos Jovany Hernandez has been arrested and charged with Criminal Sexual Assault 1st Degree and Kidnapping in connection with the sexual assault that occurred on January 30, 2016 around 3:15 am and 3:30 am in the 800 of Barnwell Street in Columbia.
Hernandez turned himself into Columbia Police Headquarters at approximately 6:30 am this morning. Hernandez was taken into custody and transported to the Alvin Glenn Detention Center.
Hernandez is a Hispanic male, 21 years of age, and date of birth of 02/17/1993. There is no attorney representation information available.
