Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook announces that Investigators are searching for a man accused of stabbing three people and setting part of a home on fire early this morning.

Herbert Davon Oree (DOB: 1-19-1996) is wanted for Three Counts of Attempted Murder, Arson Third Degree, First Degree Burglary, and Possession of a Knife during the Commission of a Violent Crime.

Oree’s arrest warrants have been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database. The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.

Oree allegedly broke into a Bailey Street home shortly after 3 o’clock this morning, stabbed three people (two males and a female) and set fire to part of the home’s interior. The flames were quickly extinguished and did not spread to the remainder of the house.

The victims received stab wounds to the upper and lower bodies and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. At last check, one of the victims remained in the hospital.

While investigators continue to determine a motive, they believe the incident was isolated and that the victims are familiar with Oree.
