Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook and Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announce the arrest of an armed robbery suspect accused of committing several crimes in the City of Columbia and Richland County.

James Claudius Williams (DOB: 3-7-1992) is charged with Five Counts of Armed Robbery, Two Counts of Kidnapping and Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime.

Williams is accused of stealing money from victims at gunpoint at the following locations:

7919 Parklane Road – Circle K Convenience Store (County) March 23, 2016
Also allegedly stole 15 packs of cigarettes
No injuries reported

927 Elmwood Avenue – Kangaroo Convenience Store (City) May 26, 2016
No injuries reported
Additional suspect involved

2000 Rosewood Drive – Save Way Convenience Store (City) May 27, 2016
Firearm discharged inside the store — No injuries reported

7428 Garners Ferry Road – Waffle House (City) May 28, 2016
Victims forced to the ground – No injuries reported Two additional suspects involved

1210 Bluff Road – Waffle House (County) May 30, 2016

Additional Wanted Suspect – Timothy Lamar Napoleon No injuries reported

RCSD Deputies have armed robbery arrest warrants for Timothy Lamar Napoleon (DOB: 4-15-1995) wanted in connection with the Bluff Road Waffle House armed robbery investigation. It’s believed that Napoleon is actively evading law enforcement. Napoleon should be considered armed and dangerous.
