Arrest Made in String of Rosewood Business Burglaries

A Crimestoppers tip has led to the arrest of a 41-year-old man accused of burglarizing three businesses in South Columbia within the past several days.

Columbia Police Department Investigators have charged Jason Paul Jackson with Three Counts of Burglary – Second Degree, Larceny and Two Counts of Grand Larceny. CPD Officers found Jackson near downtown Columbia today and questioned him at Headquarters.

Additional charges against Jackson are pending.  The suspect is accused of breaking into the following businesses and stealing various items:

The Local Buzz (141 S. Shandon Street) 5/13/17: Electronics and money.

Ole Timey Meat Market (3718 Rosewood Drive) 5/14/17 : Money, meat and a lawn care tool.

Roof Top Pizza (4427 Rosewood Drive) 5/15/17: Electronics and multiple bottles of liquor.

Jackson is currently housed at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

All persons arrested/charged are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.
