Crimestoppers: Attempted Murder Suspect Identified/Wanted

Columbia Police Investigators have outstanding arrest warrants for an attempted murder suspect accused of shooting a man multiple times outside of at a local club.

39-year-old James Jermaine Sims should be considered armed and dangerous. Once arrested, he will be charged with Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime.

On May 17, 2017, Sims is accused of shooting the victim multiple times in the lower body at the 555 Lounge located at 2418 Cushman Drive. When officers arrived to the crime scene, they quickly administered first aid to the victim who was found severely bleeding in the parking lot.

Investigators have talked with several witnesses during the investigation.
