Columbia Police Investigators continue to make progress regarding an overnight shooting investigation near Dutch Square Mall.
The incident happened at approximately 4:30 a.m. at 421 Bush River Road.
The female victim who was shot in the lower body has been treated and released from a local hospital.
Preliminary information indicates that the victim was shot by a male suspect after an argument at the 2200 block of Broad River Road.
While the motive continues to be determined, investigators believe the shooting is an isolated incident.
