Columbia Police Officers are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a fitness center early this morning.
Officers were dispatched to Planet Fitness located at 7531 Garners Ferry Road shortly before 7:00 a.m.
The 69-year-old female victim tells officers that as she was preparing to leave in her car, an armed man approached her and demanded her vehicle, a Ford Escape which also contained her purse. The victim was not injured during the incident.
The stolen car is a white 2014 Ford Escape with a Utah license plate: W066SV and tinted windows. (Picture included is not of the actual car)
