Teenagers Charged in Burglary Investigation

Columbia Police Department (CPD) Property Crimes investigators have charged two teenagers in connection with a burglary at Earlewood Park.

The 15 and 14-year-old teens are accused of breaking into the building located at 1113 Parkside Drive on Sunday afternoon (October 22, 2017) and stealing miscellaneous first aid products from a medicine cabinet including band-aids, antacids, and eye pads, plus work-out bands.

Shortly after the crime, officers found the teens within a two-mile radius of the incident location. The juveniles are charged with Burglary – Third Degree and Petit Larceny. Officers recovered the stolen items during the arrests.

The teens were released to their parents and will appear in family court to face their charges.

All person arrested/charged are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.
