By October 30, 2017Press Releases

Columbia Police Investigators have arrested a second teenager  in connection with a shooting incident that occurred earlier this month.

15-year-old male was arrested over the weekend and charged with Attempted Murder, Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime and Discharging a Firearm into a Dwelling.

The teen’s co-defendant, 18-year-old Khalil Dion Bailey, (DOB: 11-11-1998) was arrested last week and the same charges by members of the United States Marshal Service’s (USMS) Fugitive Task Force (which includes CPD). In court, a judge denied Bailey’s bond.

Bailey is accused of discharging an AK-47 style firearm at a Delverton Road home shortly before 1:00 a.m. on October 7, 2017. The 15-year-old is accused of using a handgun to commit the crimes.

No one was injured during the shooting, however at least two people were inside of the residence at the time.

All persons arrested/charged are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.
