Crimestoppers: Burglary Investigation | Surveillance Video

Investigators with the Columbia Police Department’s (CPD) Property Crimes Unit are releasing surveillance video of a burglary in which suspects crashed a stolen van into a  car wash business.

The incident occurred at the Sparkle Car Wash located at 6212 Garners Ferry Road shortly after 10:00 p.m. on December 10, 2017.

Officers initially responded to the scene for a security alarm activation and noticed a substantial hole in the side of the building.

After reviewing surveillance video, officers determined that at least three suspects were involved in the crime. The suspect driver used a stolen van to intentionally crash into the building and steal an ATM.
