Columbia Police Department investigators have detained a male in connection with a deadly stabbing that happened near the Harbison area this morning.
The incident happened shortly before 11:00 a.m. at Heritage Village Lane off Broad River Road.
A male victim was stabbed in the upper body and was pronounced deceased at a local hospital.
Initial information indicates that there was an argument between the victim and the detained male before the stabbing occurred.
Investigators are in the process of gathering additional information, including interviewing people about the incident.
