Columbia Police Department (CPD) investigators have made an arrest after yesterday’s deadly stabbing at Prescott Manor Apartments.
Zhane Unique Pride (DOB: 2-1995) is charged with Murder and Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime. She remains at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
Pride is accused of stabbing the 27-year-old victim who’s been identified by Richland County Coroner Gary Watts as Timothy Maurice Anderson.
Anderson was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. According to Watts, an autopsy indicated that the victim died due to severe blood loss from a stab wound to the leg.
The stabbing occurred during an argument between the pair who have a child in common. The child has been placed in the custody of the Department of Social Services (DSS).
All persons arrested/charged are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.
