Crimestoppers | Suspect Wanted in Stabbing Incident

Columbia Police Department (CPD) investigators are searching for the man accused of stabbing a female acquaintance last night.

Warrants for Burglary – First Degree and Assault – First Degree are pending against Anthony Alonzo Baker (DOB: 12-31-1968).  The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.

He’s accused of breaking into the victim’s Henderson Street home (700 block)

and forcing her out of the home and stabbing her multiple times in the upper and lower body shortly after 10:00 p.m. on March 19, 2018. The victim continues to receive medical care for her injuries.

During the crime, Baker was able to run away in the direction of Blossom Street.

K-9 officers arrived on scene and conducted a track in an attempt to locate the suspect.

CPD also has an outstanding Assault and Battery – Second Degree arrest warrant for Baker in connection with an incident from February 27, 2018 at the 7300 block of Patterson Road involving the same female.

In this case, Baker is accused of assaulting the victim multiple times in the face.
