Crimestoppers | Teen Suspect Wanted in Easter Street Shooting Investigation

Columbia Police Department (CPD) investigators have outstanding arrest warrants for a teenager accused of shooting a 55-year-old woman.

Once located, 16-year-old Jaleel Brown (DOB: 11-8-2001) will be charged with Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime.

** Brown should be considered armed and dangerous **

Shortly before 10:00 a.m., the suspect is accused of shooting the victim multiple times outside of a residence at the 600 block of Easter Street.

When the initial responding officer arrived on the scene, he immediately rendered aid by placing a tourniquet from his department-issued medical kit on one of the victim’s injuries.

EMS transported the victim to a local hospital where at last check she was in stable condition, per medical staff.

So far, investigators are working leads in the case and have talked with multiple witnesses.

Also, crime scene investigators collected evidence at the scene.
