Columbia Police Department (CPD) investigators have arrested a second female suspect accused of assaulting a woman during an attempted exorcism.
26-year-old Tiara Jones is charged with Assault – First Degree and Kidnapping.
She and her sister, 28-year-old Brittany Jones (DOB: 6-17-1989), who was arrested last week faces the same charges.
The duo is accused of holding the 56-year-old female victim against her will for an extended period of time while at 100 Lorick Circle on March 19, 2018.
Additionally, the Jones suspects allegedly assaulted the victim in the upper and lower body with a cross because they believed the victim was ‘possessed,’ and attempted to perform an exorcism on her.
The victim, who managed to escape and get help from a neighbor was taken a local hospital for medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
All persons arrested/charged are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court law.
