Investigators with the Columbia Police Department’s (CPD) Special Victims Unit (SVU) have an outstanding arrest warrant for a man accused of assaulting a child earlier this month.
Once located and arrested, Farron Jermaine Killingsworth (DOB: 5-23-1984) will be charged with Unlawful Neglect of a Child (or Helpless Person) in connection with an incident that occurred at a Myers Street residence on May 3, 2018.
The warrant has been entered into the N
ational Crime Information Center (NCIC) database.
Killingsworth is accused of repeatedly striking a 3-year-old girl in the face and body causing significant injuries after the child began crying. The victim was medically treated after the incident and is recovering.
