Crimestoppers | Hit and Run Incident Involving a Pedestrian

Officers with the Columbia Police Department’s (CPD) Traffic Safety Unit (TSU) are investigating a hit and run incident involving a male pedestrian.

As a result, the 55-year-old victim remains in critical condition at a local hospital after being struck by an unknown vehicle at the intersection of Colonial Drive and Bull Street shortly after 11:30 last night.

The initial investigation indicates that the victim was injured while walking with another man on the shoulder of the road on Colonial Drive.

Investigators collected evidence at the crime scene and are in the process of determining if the incident was captured on surveillance cameras.
