The Columbia Police Department’s (CPD) Special Victims Unit (SVU) has an outstanding arrest warrant for a 39-year-old man accused of assaulting a female earlier this week.
Once captured, Floyd Gholson will be charged with Domestic Violence – First Degree.
Gholson is accused of assaulting a female acquaintance multiple times in the face and body while at an Elmwood Avenue home on June 6, 2018.
After the incident, the victim fell face forward on the ground. At one point, Gholson is accused of pointing a gun at her while making threats.
After receiving a tip regarding Gholson’s possible whereabouts, multiple officers searched a home near Prescott Road today. K-9 and SWAT Teams aided in the effort.
