Update | Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

Columbia Police Department investigators have arrested a 40-year-old man accused of committing a series of armed robberies in the City of Columbia and surrounding areas.

Antonio Lamont Hall (DOB: 11-1977) is charged with Two Counts of Armed Robbery and Two Counts of Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime.

Hall, who was arrested this morning in the Town of Forest Acres, is accused of demanding money and cigarettes from and threatening the life of the store clerk at gunpoint at the Li’l Cricket gas station on August 15, 2018.

A similar armed robbery occurred a few days before (August 11) at the Gaz-Bah gas station at 3923 West Beltline Boulevard. No one was injured during the incidents.

Hall also faces similar charges with the Forest Acres Police and Richland County Sheriff’s Departments.

Hall is expected to be housed at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

All persons arrested/charged are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.
