Crimestoppers | Composite Sketch in Armed Robbery Investigation Released

Columbia Police Department (CPD) investigators are releasing a composite sketch of what an armed robbery suspect may look like to aid in his identification and location.

The sketch comes courtesy of a forensic artist from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).

The suspect, described as a partially bald black male, possibly in his late 30’s and at least 6 feet tall is accused of breaking into a Laurens Street apartment through an unlocked door on September 18, 2018 at approximately 1:30 a.m.

Once inside, the suspect allegedly stole the male victim’s wallet after confronting him with a knife.

The victim was not physically harmed during the incident.
