Crimestoppers | Missing Man

Investigators with the Columbia Police Department’s Special Victims Unit (SVU) are releasing a picture of a missing man in order to receive tips regarding his whereabouts.

The family of 62-year-old John Hewett (August 1956) reported him missing yesterday when he didn’t return home from work. He was last seen at his Gadsden Street home and has not been seen or heard from since.

According to the family, this behavior is uncharacteristic of Hewett and relatives are very concerned about his safety and well-being.

Hewett typically drives a black 2011 SAAB bearing South Carolina license plate: 2324JY, and a Colorado license plate on the front bumper, with a Vail Ski Resort sticker on the rear bumper.
