Crimestoppers | Deadly McRae Street Shooting

The Columbia Police Department (CPD) is investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a 25-year-old man in North Columbia.

The victim, identified by the Richland County Coroner Gary Watts as Traon Davis (DOB: January 1993) died as a result of a gunshot wound to the upper body while at 305-A McRae Street at 3:00 a.m.

At this time, investigators believe the shooting was an isolated incident.

This is the 16th homicide investigated by CPD this year. To date, 14 have been cleared by arrest.
