Columbia Police Department (CPD) investigators are releasing surveillance video of a convenience store burglary in which two suspects attempted to steal an ATM last week. The in-store video was recently obtained by CPD. As officers were dispatched to the crime scene, they saw the suspects leave the scene in a truck. As officers initiated a traffic stop, the suspects abandoned the vehicle containing the stolen ATM. Both items were recovered by CPD and processed for evidence. CPD is investigating similar crimes and is working to determine if the cases are connected.
