Crimestoppers: Armed Robbery Investigation

Columbia Police Department Officers are investigating an armed robbery at a local hotel in which the suspect assaulted the male clerk.

The incident happened on at approximately 3:30 a.m. March 7, 2019 at 200 Greystone Boulevard.

The male suspect is accused of demanding money from the clerk and assaulting him in the face and head when he didn’t immediately comply. The victim received medical treatment for his injuries.

The suspect managed to steal money before leaving the store in possibly an early model, light-colored Ford Taurus.
