Crimestoppers: Attempted Murder Investigation

Columbia Police Chief W.H. ‘Skip’ Holbrook announces that investigators are releasing surveillance pictures of a vehicle that’s connected to a shooting incident from the Colony Apartments.

Officers responded to 7905 Bailey Street at approximately 8:00 p.m. on April 23, 2019 for a ‘shots fired’ call. When they arrived on scene, they located the 33-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound.

EMS took him to a local hospital where at last check, medical staff advised CPD that he was in stable condition.

While investigators are working to determine a motive for the shooting, surveillance cameras captured the suspect or suspects leaving the crime scene in a white vehicle, possibly a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
