Hotel Armed Robbery Arrests

Columbia Police Department (CPD) Investigators have charged two men in connection with a recent hotel armed robbery.

20-year-old Denzell McMillian and 19-year-old Chacory Murray are charged with Armed Robbery, Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime and Criminal Conspiracy.

Today in court, a judge set Murray’s bond at $100,000 and $150,000 for McMillian.

On September 11, 2019, the duo is accused of robbing a female clerk at gunpoint and stealing money from the Holiday Inn Express at 1011 Clemson Frontage Road.  There were no reported injuries during the crime.

The suspects are currently housed at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center (ASGDC) and have charges for similar cases by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. (RCSD).

All persons arrested/charged are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty in a court of law.
