The Columbia Police Department’s (CPD) Traffic Safety Unit (TSU) is investigating a serious, single-vehicle collision.
Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Victory Street at approximately 2:00 a.m. When they arrived, they found an unresponsive female who was the only occupant.
Preliminary information indicates that the 43-year-old driver was traveling east on Victory Street when for an unknown reason, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a ditch. The driver was taken to a local hospital. At last check, medical staff advised CPD officers that she was in critical but stable condition.
The investigation continues.
