National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) Meeting

The Columbia Police Department (CPD) proudly hosted a National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) membership meeting at Headquarters.

Law enforcement partners from Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, Summerville, Horry County, and Lexington attended.
Deputy Chief Melron Kelly is a NOBLE member and introduced today’s guest speaker, Robert Ford who is this area’s Vice President.

Among many of its missions, NOBLE members work to ‘ensure equity in the administration of justice in the provision of public service in all communities.’

Founded in 1978, NOBLE worked to address crime in low-income urban areas throughout the country.

Among many of the topics discussed today included fairness, diversity, and collaboration which are part of the CPD’s core values.
