By August 25, 2020News

Investigators with the Columbia Police Department’s (CPD) Property Crimes Unit are releasing surveillance video of a local gas station burglary and theft of lottery tickets to help identify and locate the two suspects.

The crime happened shortly after 1:00 a.m. today (August 25, 2020) at the 4000 block of Trotter Road (Shiv Food Mart).

The video shows an unidentified female running into the store and stealing hundreds of dollars worth of lottery tickets.

It’s believed the unidentified male suspect helped her get inside the store by breaking the front glass door.  After reviewing the video, investigators believe the vehicle used in the crime could be a light-colored Honda Accord with the license plate covered.

Investigators recently arrested a couple accused of breaking into the Quick Liquor Store on Trotter Road on July 29, 2020 for a similar crime. At this time, it’s not believed that the crimes are related.
