2021 Veterans Day Parade Road Closures

The City of Columbia will be sponsoring the 43rd Annual Veteran’s Day Parade on Thursday, November 11, 2021.

Street closures will begin at 7:00 a.m. tomorrow.

The 1200 to 2000 blocks of Sumter Street will be temporarily closed from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Roads will remain closed for the duration of the parade and will re-open once the breakdown of the reviewing stands and clean-up has been completed.

CPD officers will provide traffic control and security for the event.

 

 

 

Road Closure Breakdown:

7:00 a.m.   

Reviewing Area closes – 1300-1400 Sumter St. and 1200-1300 Washington St.

8:00 a.m.  

Assembly Area closes:

1700-2000 Sumter St.

1200-1300 Laurel St.

1200-1300 Richland St.

1200-1300 Calhoun St.

**The Comet Bus stop will be temporarily relocated from Sumter St. and Laurel St. to the 1100 block of Calhoun St.**

9:00 a.m.    

Dispersal Area closes:

1000-1100 Sumter St.

1000-1100 Marion St.

1200-1400 Pendleton St.

and 1300-1400 Senate St.

10:30 a.m.      

Parade Route Closes –

1600-1200 Sumter St.

1100-1400 Gervais St.

1200-1300 Lady St.

1200-1300 Hampton St.

1200-1300 Taylor St.

1200-1300 Blanding St.

**All garages on Sumter St. or garages/parking lots on the 1200 blocks of Lady St., Washington St., Hampton St., Taylor St., and Blanding St. will be accessed from Main St. **
