Columbia Police Department (CPD) officers will be assisting with traffic control as agents with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) carry the Special Olympics torch in to the Statehouse today for the kick off to the summer Olympics.
The first leg of the run will be at the intersection of River Drive and Main Street at 3:30 p.m. and will travel south on Main Street and will end on the North of Statehouse by approximately 4:00 p.m.
