Crimestoppers: Fatal Shooting Investigation

Columbia Police Department (CPD) investigators are encouraging citizens to call Crimestoppers with information regarding last week’s fatal shooting of a 37-year-old man.

Shortly after 5:30 p.m., on June 15, 2022, officers were dispatched to 3301 Harden Street Extension after receiving a report that an injured man drove himself to Prisma Health Richland hospital.

Medical staff discovered the man was suffering from gunshot wounds to his lower body. Despite life-saving efforts, hospital staff pronounced the man deceased.

Investigators are following leads in the case and continue to determine where the shooting occurred and the identity of the suspect (s).

The Richland County Coroner’s Office is assisting CPD with the investigation.
