Update: Missing Person Investigation (Shauna Brown)

After enlisting the assistance of multiple neighboring law enforcement agencies in the search for missing nurse Shauna Brown, the Georgia State Patrol has located a wrecked vehicle matching the description of the one Brown was driving.

In a wooded area yesterday afternoon, Georgia State Troopers made the discovery of a 2013 black Toyota Corolla registered to Brown near Exit 154 on the westbound side of Interstate-20 in Warren County, Georgia.  A female occupant who was wearing medial ‘scrubs’ was found deceased.

Based on the discovery and investigative work by CPD, it is believed that the female driver was likely involved in a single-vehicle collision during the early morning hours of July 10, 2022.

At this time, Georgia authorities including the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) are awaiting autopsy and DNA testing results to make a positive identification on the person found.

CPD will provide updates regarding the incident as additional confirmed information becomes available.
