Executive Director of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers’ Association (SCLEOA), J.J. Jones proudly announces the selection of the 2023 Executive Board President.
At the 2022 Annual SCLEOA Award Ceremony at the Marriott Grand Dunes in Myrtle Beach this weekend, Columbia Police Chief W.H. “Skip” Holbrook took the oath of office administered by the 2021 SCLEOA President Major Irick “TJ” Geary with the University of South Carolina Law Enforcement & Safety in front of law enforcement partners and citizens.
The Presidential position is a year-long, faithful commitment to support the mission of the SCLEOA, its Constitution, and the State of South Carolina while working as the leader of the SCLEOA Executive Board.
More specifically, the incoming President will represent law enforcement in the State of South Carolina and act as the spokesperson for SCLEOA. The SCLEOA is recognized as “The Voice of Law Enforcement” in South Carolina. Chief Holbrook will actively work with state legislators to provide insight into the needs of law enforcement while leading an organization of 6,800 members strong.
After receiving his new title, Chief Holbrook administered the oath of office to the SCLEOA 2023 Executive Board:
-President-Elect: Timmonsville Captain James Allen
-First Vice President: Conway Chief Dale Long
-Second Vice President: Aiken Public Safety Chief Charles Barranco
– Sergeant-at-Arms: Aiken County Sheriff’s Office Captain Eric Abdullah
-Secretary/ Treasurer: Major James Miles of USC Law Enforcement and Safety.
-District Representatives from across the State of South Carolina.
