Deputy Chief Kelly Sworn in as SC Chapter of NOBLE President; CPD Command Staff members part of Executive Board

Chief W.H.‘Skip‘ Holbrook announces that several senior members of the Columbia Police Department‘s (CPD) Command Staff have been sworn in as part of the South Carolina Chapter of the  National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executive Board (NOBLE).

2023 Executive Board:

Deputy Chief Melron Kelly – President- Columbia Police Department

Lieutenant Fred Bryant – Vice President-Columbia Police Department

Captain Aaron Dobbs – Secretary – City of Aiken Department of Public Safety

Captain Kellie Yates – Treasurer- Columbia Police Department

Chief Tonia Alston – Parliamentarian – SC State Museum

Deputy Chief Tyrone Simmons – Sergeant At Arms – Mt. Pleasant Police Department

The National NOBLE Board was established in 1976 and ‘has served as the conscience of law enforcement by being committed to justice by action.’ 

According to organizers, NOBLE has nearly 60 chapters and represents over 3,000 members worldwide that represent chief executive officers and command-level law enforcement officials from federal, state, county, and municipal law enforcement agencies, and criminal justice practitioners.
