It is with heavy heart that we share the passing of retired CPD K-9 Jesse.
The 11 ½-year-old German Shepard / Belgian Malinois mix lost his life to cancer last week.
Before retiring, Jesse faithfully and loyally served alongside Corporal James Fitzpatrick from August 2013 – April 2022.
During his impressive career, Jesse, a full-service patrol K-9 accomplished 205 tracks, 42 suspect captures, 70 article searches, and located 19 firearms along with several kilos of cocaine and hundreds of pounds of marijuana.
Beyond those numbers, he won the heart of his handler and team members.
