Columbia Police Department (CPD) investigators have charged two teens in connection with the fatal shooting of a pizza delivery driver that occurred in November 2023.

Police Chief W. H. ‘Skip’ Holbrook announces the arrests of 18-year-old Trevor Harris and a 17-year-old male relative on charges of Murder, Attempted Armed Robbery, Criminal Conspiracy and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime. Both teens were located at a West Columbia home this week by members of the United States Marshals Service’s Carolinas Regional Task Force, which includes CPD. The suspects are housed at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center (ASGDC).

The teens are accused of conspiring to attempt an armed robbery of the 48-year-old male victim after ordering a pizza to a vacant home at the Tamarind Apartments located at 143 Stoneridge Drive on November 29, 2023.

When the victim, identified by the Richland County Coroner as Christopher Shirah arrived at the delivery location, the suspects tried to rob him before fatally shooting him and leaving the scene.

All persons arrested/charged are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.
