Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook announces that members of the Columbia Police Department’s Organized Crime and Narcotics Unit have seized thousands of dollars’ worth of crack cocaine during a recent arrest.
The suspect, Willie Washington, III (DOB 10-6-1987) is charged with Trafficking Crack Cocaine (28g – 100g) and Trafficking Crack Cocaine in Proximity to a School.
On January 18, 2016, An OCN Officer located the crack cocaine during a lawful search of a vehicle that was parked at 1024 Elmwood Avenue. The location is near Logan Elementary School.
The crack cocaine has an estimated street value of $4,000. Washington was booked at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
All persons arrested/charged are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.
