Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook announces that Investigators have named a suspect in connection with last week’s motel shooting in North Columbia.

Attempted Murder, Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime and Possession of a Firearm by Person Convicted of a Violent Crime arrest warrants have been entered in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) for Victor Anthony Robinson (DOB: 9-28-1981).

He is accused of shooting a male victim with a high-powered weapon multiple times while at the Budget Inn Motel located at 1601 Sunset Drive last Wednesday. The victim remains in the hospital with life- threatening injuries. As the exact motive is still being determined, Investigators believe the isolated incident stemmed from a previous argument.

Investigators still want to locate and speak with Terrance Robert Boyd (AKA Terry)(DOB: 11-28-1991), a person of interest in the case. CPD believes Boyd has important information about the crime.
