Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook announces the arrest of a 22-year old man accused of physically harming a toddler.
Joshua Mikell Stevens (DOB: 5-14-1994) is charged with Unlawful Conduct toward a Child.
Stevens is accused of grabbing the face of 2-year-old boy in his care and repeatedly hitting him.
The child sustained two black eyes and other injuries to his body. The child was taken to a local hospital for treatment and was released.
The incident occurred at a home on the 300 block of Bailey Street on June 6, 2016.
Stevens was transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
All persons arrested/charged are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.
