Police Chief Skip Holbrook announces that U.S. Marshals, CPD officers assigned to the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, and Wilson Police Department officers arrested Jamal Trutus Curtis Hughey on 08/03/2016 inside a home located in Wilson, North Carolina.
Hughey was the third suspect wanted in connection with the murder and attempted murder that occurred in the 3400 block of Magrath Street in Columbia, SC on July 30, 2016.
Hughey is charged with murder, attempted murder, and possession of a firearm during a violent crime. Hughey is currently being detained in North Carolina pending extradition back to South Carolina.
