CRIMESTOPPERS: Overnight Shooting Death

Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook announces that a man has been shot and killed during an overnight armed robbery attempt.

A 33-year-old male victim was pronounced deceased at a local hospital after being shot in the upper and lower body while at the 1100 block of Dorrah Street around midnight.

Several people rendered aid to the victim until EMS arrived on the scene.

According to witnesses, a black male suspect wearing dark clothing shot the victim after demanding his vehicle. After the shooting, the suspect ran from the scene.
