Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook announces the arrest of a 21‐year‐old man accused of shooting a female acquaintance in the head during a domestic violence incident.
Christopher Justin Lewis Lloyd (DOB: 7‐17‐1995) is charged with Attempted Murder and
Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime.
Lloyd was located near Piney Grove Road at approximately 2:30 p.m., three hours after the shooting incident at Harbison Gardens Apartments yesterday.
Initially, Lloyd was identified as a person of interest then became the sole suspect when
Investigators talked ith him about the violent crime. Investigators gathered information from
residents at the apartment complex while officers collected evidence from the crime scene.
At last check, the victim was recovering from surgery at a local hospital.
Lloyd is booked at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
All persons arrested/charged are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.
