Crimestoppers: Person of Interest Sought in Deadly Arson Investigation

Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook announces that investigators are releasing surveillance pictures of a person of interest in connection with a deadly arson investigation.

The unidentified white male is being sought for questioning to determine what information he can provide to CPD officers regarding the fatal fire which occurred on January 29, 2017 at the Plantation Court Apartments on South Saluda Avenue.

According to Richland County Coroner Gary Watts, the victim, 80-year-old True Dent Henderson died from smoke inhalation.
The intentionally set fire is being investigated by CPD, the Columbia Fire Department (CFD) and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).
