Female Identity Theft Suspect Wanted

Columbia Police Investigators are working to identify and locate a female who’s accused of stealing someone’s identity to open a bank account and buy expensive jewelry.

Investigators believe that the woman fraudulently obtained the victim’s financial information, social security number and other personal information to open a bank account for a credit line of $23,000.

In addition, the suspect allegedly used a phony Virginia driver’s license to purchase a $14,000 watch at a local jewelry store.  The victim, who lives in Virginia, quickly notified police of the financial discrepancies.

The suspect, described as being a white female, was last seen wearing a long gray sweater, blue jeans and dark shoes. She has short red hair and a tattoo of an unknown symbol on the right side of her neck.
